Director, Scheduling (Quebec)
We are seeking an experienced Director of Scheduling to support major rail and linear infrastructure programmes in Quebec. The successful candidate will bring significant leadership experience in project planning and schedule management, ideally gained across complex rail environments. This role requires a strong track record of coordinating multidisciplinary stakeholders, overseeing robust project controls, and supporting successful project delivery. Candidates must have a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, with 20 years preferred, and must hold a P.Eng. designation or be a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
Key Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the management and planning of comparable assignments; experience in the rail sector and on linear infrastructure projects is strongly preferred, with 20 years of experience considered an advantage.
- Proven experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including technical, financial, and operational teams.
- Relevant academic qualifications, with membership in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or Professional Engineers Ontario (P.Eng.) required. Professional certifications such as PMP, PSP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Advanced proficiency in recognised planning and controls tools, including Primavera P6, Power BI, Microsoft Project, TILOS, Acumen Fuse, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, including the development and monitoring of schedules using Critical Path Method (CPM).
- Ability to manage review cycles and incorporate feedback from clients and stakeholders in a timely and structured manner.
- Demonstrated track record of successful project delivery and strong client satisfaction outcomes.
- Experience in project planning, programme controls, and project management within complex delivery environments.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in both French and English, spoken and written.
