Our client BAE Systems, a prominent organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking two Trials Technicians to join their team in Risdale on a 12-month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure allocated tests and trials are completed in a safe manner to the highest quality standards, within customer time and cost constraints
- Maintain all equipment required for tests and trials to a high standard and ensure suitability for tasks
- Operate lifting equipment, including forklift trucks
- Complete equipment records accurately
- Set up, operate, and break down test arenas
- Provide test data to the Trials Engineer for customer reports
- Continuously improve the Ridsdale range test facilities and capabilities
- Ensure compliance with SHE legislation and Business safe systems of work for self and others
Job Requirements:
- Experience working within a mechanical environment
- Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001 is desirable
- Proficient in using SAP, Microsoft Office, and Teamcenter is desirable
- Recognised Safety and Health Management qualification (e.g. IOSH) is desirable
- Ability to provide innovative and practical solutions to complex issues
- Strong negotiation and decision-making skills in a dynamic environment
- Positive 'can do' attitude and commitment to continuous improvement
