As a Senior Maritime Warfare Instructor, you'll use your operational knowledge and seagoing experience to mentor and develop future maritime professionals, delivering advanced navigation and warfare training while promoting the professional standards required in complex operational environments.
Working as part of an experienced instructional team, you'll contribute to classroom-based learning, simulation training, and the ongoing development of training materials and capability.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver advanced navigation and maritime operations instruction.
- Mentor and assess trainees throughout their professional development.
- Facilitate training across classroom and simulation environments.
- Contribute to course development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of maritime tactics, techniques, and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high training standards.
- Participate in scheduled training activities as required.
About you
You'll bring substantial operational maritime experience together with a genuine passion for developing future professionals.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Experience in senior warfare, navigation, or operations roles within a naval or maritime organisation.
- Advanced professional qualifications in maritime warfare, navigation, or a related discipline.
- Recent operational experience in a relevant maritime environment.
- Strong communication, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- The ability to obtain and maintain the necessary security vetting requirements. Due to security clearnace requirements on this project candidates from FIVE EYES required.
