Our client, a leading company in the Transmission and Distribution sector, is currently seeking a Senior SHES Advisor for a contract role at the Brimsdown substation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing expert advice on legal and regulatory environmental requirements
- Handling primary and secondary consenting processes
- Managing the discharge of permits
- Addressing issues related to contaminated land on site
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with environmental standards and regulations
- Collaborating with internal teams to effectively manage SHES activities
- Contributing to ecological management plans and initiatives
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in the Transmission and Distribution sector
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory environmental requirements
- Background in consulting or infrastructure projects, preferably with companies like RSK, Jacobs, Morgan Sindall, or Balfour Beatty
- Experience in managing complex environmental and SHES processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Outgoing and positive attitude, with the ability to build rapport
- Willingness to work on-site three days a week in North London/Essex
