Our client, specialising in the Transmission & Distribution sector, is currently seeking two dedicated Mechanical Fitters to join their team on a contract basis. This opportunity is perfect for individuals with a keen understanding of mechanical fitting and experience in T&D projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing routine maintenance and mechanical fitting tasks
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment
- Interpreting technical drawings and schematics to assemble and disassemble machinery
- Ensuring all mechanical works meet safety and quality standards
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure seamless project execution
- Completing necessary documentation for work performed
- Conducting troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of mechanical issues
- Providing regular updates to supervisors on job progress and any issues encountered
Job Requirements:
- Experience in mechanical fitting, particularly within the T&D sector
- NG Person accreditation
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards
- Good communication skills
- Relevant mechanical fitting qualification or equivalent experience
