Our client is currently seeking a Senior Highways Engineer for a 6-month contract at their Manchester office. This role is ideal for a highly skilled professional looking to further their career in the highways discipline while contributing to significant Local Authority and National Highways schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the design and implementation of highway engineering projects
- Managing and mentoring junior engineers
- Conducting detailed technical reviews using Civil 3D software
- Ensuring compliance with relevant highway design standards and regulations
- Coordinating with various stakeholders, including Local Authorities and National Highways
- Delivering projects within specified timeframes and budget constraints
- Preparing technical reports and documentation
- Providing expert advice and risk assessments on highway engineering matters
Job Requirements:
- Chartered Engineer status is essential
- Significant experience in highway engineering
- Proficient in the use of Civil 3D for highway design
- Strong project management capabilities
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Understanding of Local Authority and National Highways project requirements
- Ability to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment
