Job description
* Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status.
The duties of this Electrical Distribution Engineer-II position include, but are not limited to:
- The engineering team that this role is a part of will assist with grid modernization initiatives, renewable energy and battery storage integration, electric system planning, and grid analytics.
- Learn complicated modeling and CAD software fast and grasp technical power distribution engineering ideas.
- Create solutions and deliverables for customers, like technical reports and circuit models, which help them run and update their electric distribution systems in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective way.
- Effective task organization, planning, estimation, scheduling, and monitoring.
- The ability to maintain data files and models for electrical circuits is required.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Desired skills and traits:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university program is
- A Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) license or Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
- Knowledge/experience in the utility industry; CYME, Synergi, Milsoft, PSCAD, PSSE, ETAP, SKM, Python, R language, PMP, distributed generation, grid modernization, smart grid concepts, battery energy storage systems, DER interconnection studies, distribution system planning, etc. are all preferred.
- This role requires 3-6 years of experience in power distribution engineering.
