Job description
You will provide structural analysis support to our design engineers, interact with the other engineers within the team and report to experienced approval level stress engineers within the business. You will be expected to suggest concepts to design solutions as part of the team.
The immediate role will consist of supporting the modification of a large commercial jet aircraft to become a flying testbed, supporting a major UK development project. At this early stage in the project, it will be expected that you primarily work in our offices to collaborate with the team, though occasional hybrid working may be possible.
You will perform stress analysis of structures using traditional hand calculation methods, structural simulation techniques, developing spreadsheets, write reports and prepare presentations.
Ideally, you will be happy to interact in client facing roles and wish to take on project management activities associated with your tasks.
Essential
Proven experience in a similar role, in a highly regulated industry,
Must be proactive and work with a high level of integrity.
Experience using Finite Element Analysis software.
UK National (Dual Nationals acceptable)
Desirable
Experience using Altair Hypermesh & MSC Nastran
Experience with CATIA or SolidWorks.
Chartered Engineer or progressing to.
