Job description

CMM Programming - 12 month contract - Samlesbury - £47.96 Umbrella p/h or £36.35 PAYE (Inside IR35)

The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e., the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs). Please note, the rate paid by the Umbrella will be less, as will a Limited Deemed rate or Agency PAYE rate. Please get in touch to discuss the rates via these different payment vehicles.

The Role:

CMM Programming - using CAMIO and Legacy Software.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting all parts produced, to ensure they are to the required specification and conform to the FTA and design intent.
  • You will be working across a wide range of platforms such as the F35, Typhoon, Hawk and Tempest. Providing a high standard of technical support and production expertise.
  • This breadth of responsibility and experience allows us to influence current and future product designs and implement new processes and technologies.
  • The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role.

Experience and Skills-

Essential skills:

  • Minimum of HNC or recognised degree and/or apprenticeship in Manufacturing Engineering, or in similar Engineering subject.
  • Good knowledge and experience of manufacturing processes and Engineering principles
  • Understanding of Datum Structures and GD&T.
  • Experience with offline programming for Co-ordinate Measuring Machine's.
  • Experience with CMM measurement data analysis to aid problem solving and continuous improvement.

Desirable skills:

  • Experience of using or Siemens NX CAD Software
  • Experience of Programming using CAMIO or MODUS software but not essential as training can be given.
  • Engineering Toolset knowledge would be beneficial (not essential as training will be provided) such as, PLM (or equivalent Product Lifecycle Manager), SAP CAM, or SFM (Shop Floor Manager)
  • Proven work experience in aerospace or alternative manufacturing industries
