Job description

NATS are looking for a Project Manager to join them on a contract basis at their site in Fareham for a initial 6 month contract.

• Hybrid working, roughly 1-2 days a week onsite in Fareham.
• Applicants must be eligible for SC Clearance or already hold this.
• £500-550 p/d Umbrella, inside IR35.

Qualifications and Skills

• The jobholder should hold Project Management qualification (APMP or equivalent).
• The jobholder should be working towards a Chartered Engineer or hold equivalent status.
• A good level of business understanding and a capability to understand and balance short- and long-term project issues securing the required support from contractors.
• Management skills sufficient to have demonstrated a sound understanding of business and personnel management techniques.
• Ability to chair and contribute to meetings thereby ensuring the effective utilisation of resources and progress towards objectives.
• Experience in high technology, safety and / or business-related applications is essential, preferably in a project management capacity.
• Project management experience and specialist knowledge of NATS systems is desirable.
• Ability to recognise business imperatives and manage senior business stakeholders through these phases.
• Ability to estimate and challenge estimates for the content of work packages.
• Ability to develop processes used in project management.
• The post demands the ability to communicate and influence effectively at most levels.
• Experience of Air Traffic Management and or business systems and specifically NATS systems is highly desirable.
