Job description
IPC-A-610 soldering inspector
Electronics, electromechanical, mechatronic components of class II products
Salary: £23,000 - £28,000
Location: Winchester
Final Inspection is a very important department within the Company, since the products we make are sent to Final Inspection to make sure they company with the Quality standards and to ensure the product has been made to the highest standard.
As a Soldering Inspector, you will carry out inspection of components in accordance with Quality and Industry standards and to inspect to IPC-A-610, class 2 to ensure quality of product.
The role will involve ensuring that all products conform to customer industry standard and Company requirements. You will be inspecting PCBs and electromechanical components, assisting and supporting production assembles discussing faults and findings and inspecting electromechanical soldering inspection.
IPC-A-610 qualification is essential. You will need to be able to understand component identification codes for class 2 products.
The Soldering Inspector role will involve:
- Ensuring that all products conform to customer industry standard and Company requirements e.g. soldering compliance
- Inspecting Component soldering
- Assisting and supporting production assembles discussing faults and findings
- Inspecting wiring harnesses and associated electromechanical component inspection
For this role you will need:
- IPCA-610 Qualification essential
- Understand component identification codes such as resistors, capacitors and Diodes, integrated Circuits
- Able to interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOM)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time on repetitive tasks
- Able to work effectively to deadlines
- Demonstrates proactive approach
- Good communication skills
- Dexterity, Good Hand, and Eye coordination
- The ability to adapt accordingly to new/prototype products and their requirements
