Job description
As a Manufacturing Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:
* Supporting a fast-paced manufacturing production line, maintaining production throughput while ensuring safety, quality, and timing goals are met.
* Identifying continuous improvements on the production line through process monitoring and data analysis, leading projects to completion.
* Conducting feasibility studies on new processes and enhancing existing processes with robust process controls across various products and lifecycle phases.
* Providing valuable input into product changes and modifications, ensuring efficient manufacture and assembly.
* Demonstrating leadership skills and the ability to motivate cross-functional teams towards manufacturing excellence, collaborating with external customers and suppliers when required.
* Acting as the authority in Manufacturing Engineering for process planning, change management requests, documentation sign-offs, and process validation.
* Developing, procuring, and maintaining fixturing and tooling for manufacturing.

To thrive in this role, you will need:
* HNC/HND or equivalent experience in a mechanical or manufacturing engineering discipline, with recent experience in manufacturing engineering.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Proven ability to solve complex technical problems.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in CAD, with previous knowledge of Solidworks being advantageous, for fixture design and product analysis. Experience with drafting technical drawings and GT&D.
* Extensive knowledge of different manufacturing processes, assembly techniques, and meticulous attention to detail in components and assemblies.
* Extensive experience in driving process improvements.
* Background in reviewing and approving engineering drawings of components and assemblies.
* Efficient conversion of technical information and engineering drawing data into work instructions and technical narratives.
* Understanding of ERP systems, planning controls, and Bills of Materials, with experience in SAP being advantageous.
* Working knowledge of LEAN principles and continuous improvement tools.
