Job description


If you are a Senior Electrical Engineer NPI and care about the environment, then we have a role just for you. Working with our NPI Manager and with like-minded engineers in our NPI department based at our centre of excellence just south of Bristol.

Your mission is working under the direction of the Lead Engineer you will manage the execution of design solutions within a multi-discipline engineering team, supporting product development at Product Company in Clevedon near Bristol

Goals:

  • You will design modules/sub-assemblies of new products observing the Product Commercialisation Process (PCP)
  • You will verify that the designs meet the requirements and conform to the relevant design standards by calculation and testing.
  • You will be accountable for the development of sub-assemblies of a product ensuring the specified quality and cost are achieved to the agreed task time scale
  • Accountable for the detailed documentation of the design (models, drawings, design data, BOM, test data) ensuring all relevant information is recorded promptly following TCF requirements

  • IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU HAVE
  • An Electrically biased engineering degree (minimum 2:1) or other relevant engineering qualification and industry experience
  • Experience in product development and introductions is desirable
  • Knowledge of design for manufacture and design for assembly
  • Experience using a range of engineering materials and with several manufacturing methods/techniques
  • 3D and 2D CAD skills (CATIA, Visio, AutoCAD or other drafting tools)
  • An understanding of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and system schematics
  • Focused on delivering to project milestones and timescales
  • You will be used to achieving deadlines
  • Understand key technical deliverables and requirements and can report accurately to more senior engineers and the project manager



Along with your salary of 40-47K you will be eligible for:
