Job description
Our consultancy client is seeking a Contract and Assurance Manager to join their Peterborough based team in a hybrid working arrangement on their Anglian Water contract.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on large strategic infrastructure projects under NEC contracts.
The role will include occasional site visits in the East Anglia region so the candidate will need to be local to Anglian Water.
Responsibilities
- Cost reporting, forecasting and cost management
- Management of the final accounts process
- Challenging processes and teams to maximise efficiency
- Provide commercial assurance on any pre-construction, change and final account activities
- Pre-Construction and Final Account cost capture reviews
- Auditing of back office systems
- Supplier spot checks
- Preparation of monthly management reports
- Contract Management
- Ensure contracts are efficiently processed through the client's governance stages
- Change management
- Commercial modelling based on various outcomes and commercial principles
- Develop cost intelligence reports that both challenge and enable the teams to deliver efficient and effective solutions.
- Efficiency reporting using cost intent to establish value for money
Skills/experience/qualifications
- Proven skills and experience in delivering within a Cost Consultancy/Main Contractor
- NEC Contract Accreditation
- Experience working in collaborative teams
- Experience of working in a strategic project environment, particularly large contract value
- Pre and post-contract experience
- Experience of negotiating commercial agreements
- Experience of leading and managing a team
- Water or Environment industry experience is desirable
