The role

To develop current and next generation aircraft products and technologies, numerous opportunities exist for those interested in the challenges across several lifecycle phases. The programme has provided a significant increase in Design Engineering resource demand. In the delivery of the Air projects, we are aiming to develop, sustain and replenish Design Engineering knowledge, skills and experience. The purpose of this vacancy description is to establish a role to be deployed on other Air programmes, related tasks across the range of Design Engineering skills.

• Analysing information and applying sound engineering judgement to solve problems
• Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, to a variety of stakeholders
• Working with external customers, suppliers and partners
• Managing Design tasks to meet design review criteria and programme schedules
• Applying relevant engineering and design standards and processes to product definition

Key Skills

• To demonstrate a level of proficiency in CATIA V5 / Capital Logic or equivalent toolsets (dependent on role)

• Experience of managing Design tasks to meet design review criteria and programme schedules
• Relevant experience in a Previous Design Engineering role, ideally within the Aerospace sector.

This role will require you to hold or be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC). You will need to obtain a BPSS check as part of this process. You must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship and have lived and worked in the UK for a minimum 5 year period.
