My Client is recruiting for Assistant to Senior level Mechanical Engineers in the Water Sector
My Client has developed a reputation as a progressive and forward-thinking consultancy through the consistent and repeated delivery of high-quality work to clients, as reflected by the long-standing relationships they continue to enjoy with variety of clients across the UK and Ireland water industry.
As a result of this growing workflow, are actively seeking Assistant to Senior level Mechanical Engineers to join their Water Business in the South Region in Brighton. You will grow their reputation within the local community and Water Business, by providing mechanical design services for a range of projects.

The team currently provide technical design services and expertise as part of integrated project teams in the Water Sector.
The successful candidate will be involved in the whole project life cycle from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed design and construction support including site surveys and investigations. In line with our Communities of Practice approach, there are opportunities to work on a wide variety of projects including in water, wastewater, energy, infrastructure and environmental sectors.
Senior Mechanical Engineers, will hold responsibility for working and liaising with project managers, technical leaders, design engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, planners and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the projects and community.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Mechanical Engineer who is ideally Chartered or Incorporated with the IMechE with experience in mechanical design, ideally with water industry experience
- Experienced in producing technical specifications, pump sizing calculations, schedules, reports and familiar with collaborative reviews and designs of solutions
- Able to provide engineering input to collaborative design outputs, such as General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams
- Strong communication skills to give technical presentations to clients and other design engineers as well as inputting into collaborative design discussions including technical workshops, HAZOPs and ALMs. (dependant on role level)
- Understanding how water and wastewater treatment processes operate and be experienced in assessing existing site infrastructure to develop and deliver the mechanical design
- We would also be interested in speaking with candidates who have experience within the energy, infrastructure & environmental sectors in a mechanical engineering capacity
