As a Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring that the company products meet the customers' requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather, analyse, and manage requirements for our hardware products.
Responsibilities:
- Work with project engineering leads, engineers, and customers to gather and document requirements for new and existing products.
- Analyse and prioritise requirements to ensure that they align with product vision and specific standards, including testing and evidencing that the requirements have been met.
- Develop and maintain a requirements management system to track changes and ensure that all stakeholders are aware of updates.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure that requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
- Work with project managers to ensure that requirements are managed whilst balancing cost, quality and schedule.
Experience needed:
- Ideally qualified to degree-level or equivalent experience in a Physics or Engineering based subject, such as; Electronics, Hardware, Computer Science, Software or Systems Engineering etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with requirements management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, DOORS or Jama
- Familiarity with continuous improvement development methodologies.
Desirable:
- Experience in the Defence / Aerospace or safety regulated environment would be advantageous
- Experience in the Naval / Maritime domain would be advantageous.
