Position: Flood Risk Consultant

About the Role
We're seeking a Flood Risk Consultant to join our team and contribute to a variety of projects in the public and private sectors. Responsibilities include assisting in the delivery of Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies. We provide in-house training to support your growth into a well-rounded Flood Risk Consultant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of projects, including Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies.
  • Contribute to various projects in the public and private sectors, such as flood defenses, strategic infrastructure, and private developments.

Qualifications and Experience
Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, Environmental Management, or Engineering.
  • Minimum of two years of industry experience.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and technically accurate reports.
  • Knowledge of drainage hierarchy and experience in undertaking drainage assessments and design using relevant software.
  • Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcMap, QGIS, or MapInfo.

Desirable:

  • Willingness to develop skills in hydrology or modeling and become a well-rounded flood risk consultant.
