Job description
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to oversee our School Street Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the program, from initial planning and stakeholder engagement to implementation and evaluation. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a trans formative project that will have a positive impact on the lives of children, families, and communities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project plans, time lines, and budgets for the School Street Program.
- Coordinate with school administrators, local government officials, community organisations, and other stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
- Conduct site assessments and traffic studies to identify potential improvements and interventions.
- Oversee the design and implementation of traffic calming measures, pedestrian infrastructure enhancements, and other interventions to improve safety and accessibility around schools.
- Manage contractor relationships, procurement processes, and project contracts.
- Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate community engagement activities, including public meetings, workshops, and surveys.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate the School Street Program with other urban planning initiatives and transportation projects.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and standards.
