Job description

Our aerospace client in Titchfield is currently looking for a Paint Shop Technician to join them on a PAYE contract basis. The initial duration is 3 months, likely to be extended. The starting pay is £15.76 for the first 12 weeks, with an increase to £16.24. Overtime is compensated at 1.5x.
Job Summary The role, reporting to Team Leaders and the Manufacturing Team Supervisor, is primarily focused on our Aerospace Paint Shop. However, it may evolve into a multi-functional role involving various painting, preparing, plating, and masking tasks within the Manufacturing Finishing Department (MFD). Flexibility and a positive attitude are required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Produce work within budget.
  • Foster and maintain an attitude of continuous improvement in line with Eaton standards.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to a 5S approach.
  • Initiate cost-saving and new ideas.
  • Be cooperative and flexible.
  • Adhere to all Eaton EHS, Quality, and training requirements.
  • Work effectively within a team.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and applicable aerospace plating specifications.


Experience

  • Previous experience in an Aerospace Paint Shop environment is a must.
  • Knowledge of chemical storage, safety, and use.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and root cause analysis.


Qualifications

  • Any relevant qualifications in plating would be advantageous.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office.
  • Any relevant health and safety qualifications would be a plus.
