Associate Director - Transport Planning - London - £80k to £90k

We are currently working in partnership with a leading player in the Transport Planning sector who are looking for an Associate Director to join their London office.

The successful individual will form part of the leadership team across the traffic and transportation division.

This well regarded multi-disciplinary Consultancy are on the lookout for a skilled Associate Director with 10 to 15 years' experience in Development Transport Planning within the private sector.

In this role, you'll spearhead private sector development projects across various sectors such as residential, commercial, health, and education, serving as the primary point of contact for clients.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing the preparation of Transport Statements and Assessments, Travel Plans, and Environmental Statement Transport Chapters, among others, to ensure successful planning outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess professional qualifications and a thorough understanding of national and local planning policies and technical guidance. Proficiency in TRICS, TEMpro, Junctions9, and LINSIG, along with design skills aligned with DMRB and Manual for Streets, is crucial. Additionally, a proven track record in client liaison, negotiation with authorities, and preparing fee proposals will be essential.

Within the business you'll be part of a diverse and talented team working on a range of challenging and high-profile projects across Central London and the UK. You'll have ample opportunities for skill development and professional growth, contributing significantly to the future success of our client's Transport Planning services.

Qualifications and experience:
* Degree in Transport Planning or Civil Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
* Professional qualification such as CTPP or CEng
* Extensive experience in Development Transport Planning
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Project management expertise
* Ability to mentor junior team members
* Knowledge of national and local planning policies and design standards
* Proficiency in relevant software packages and design tools * Excellent attention to detail
