Partner with the best:
In this role, as a Controls Application Engineer you will devise technical proposals and system solution using PRISMIC control systems. You will also work with commercial tendering, and product management team to identify customer needs and create bespoke PMS solutions.


As a Controls Application Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Technical focal point for tendering process for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Offer full life cycle upgrade/modification and replacement solution for controls system.
  • Be a technical support engineer throughout all stages of tendering process from early concept to full tender proposal to handover
  • Owning and creating best technical solution to satisfy customer's "Critical to Quality" (CTQs)
  • Provide inputs to risk mitigation, product development, lifecycle, and obsolescence management to product leadership.
  • Produce technical documentations such as functional specification, Architecture diagrams, IO schedules, equipment list, etc. to support competitive tenders.
  • Review customer specification and create technical comments and clarification by proposing "value to customer".
  • Identify delivery, technical, and quality risks during entire tender process and communicate to key stakeholders.
  • Review existing system and propose upgrade/retrofit/replacement solutions for control systems supplied by others.


Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a bachelor's degree in electrical/Controls Engineering
  • Have proven experience in creating technical offers for control systems
  • Have knowledge of software-based microsystems / control and communication systems including Modbus, TCP-IP Ethernet, network communications, cyber security, network redundancy.
  • Ability to interpret electrical power system, generator control, and switchgear components and create technical and functional design specification.
  • Have proven experience in technical controls design
  • Ability to interpret customer specification and technical regulation requirements.
  • Good knowledge of IEC61850 (will be an advantage)
  • Awareness of commercial issues, market led product development to be customer focused and identify business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
