Introduction:

Our client, a leading construction company in the Highways sector, is currently seeking a General Foreman to join their team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing and managing construction operations on the A47 project. This is a permanent position with opportunities for career growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on the A47 project
• Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, codes, and regulations
• Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines
• Monitor and maintain quality control measures
• Monitor the progress of work, update project documentation, and report on any issues or delays
• Promote and enforce best health and safety practices on-site
• Liaise with stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution
• Provide guidance and mentorship to the team, ensuring a high level of performance

Job Requirements:

• Significant experience in highway construction
• Knowledge of construction methodologies, industry standards, and regulations
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to effectively manage and coordinate multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Proactive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
• Valid driving license
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CSCS card, SMSTS, SSSTS) preferred
