Job description
Introduction
We are currently seeking a Sub Agent with experience in Highways to join our team. As a leading construction company in the Highways sector, our client operates on a variety of Infrastructure projects and frameworks. This is a permanent position based in Tuddenham, Norwich.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment
- Provide day-to-day leadership and management of a section of works, including the supervision and monitoring of the site team and sub-contractors
- Plan, control, and monitor the progress of the works and coordinate the section(s) of the project as allocated
- Manage multiple packages of work in conjunction with the commercial team
- Attend external meetings as required with clients and stakeholders
- Report to Site Agent/Project Manager on progress and performance
- Assist the Site Agent/Project Manager to administer the cost forecast, valuation, and reporting systems
- Attend and implement weekly and monthly site meetings
Job Requirements
- Ability to work safely
- Read and interpret data, drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Highly organised and able to prioritise multiple workloads
- Effective plant and material management
- Adept at interfacing with site team, subcontractors, designer, and the client
- Strong knowledge of CDM 15
- Good working knowledge of NEC
- Able to interpret, extract, and disseminate works information relating to the program of works
- Proven leadership and delegation skills
- Advanced problem-solving skills
