Job description
As the Site Agent you will be part of our Operations Team. Who are responsible for safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of Water Projects on the Western Isles.
Caledonia Water Alliance a partnership between AECOM and Morrison Water Services will support the delivery of the SR21 Scottish Water Capital Investment Programme, a six-year water and wastewater infrastructure pan Scotland programme.
As the Site Agent your duties & responsibilities will be:
- Reporting to the Construction Manager on a daily basis
- Ensure all sites are compliant with company SHEQ policy and procedure and drive a strong Health & Safety and quality focus culture
- Undertaking site safety audits and ensure that the site teams undertake their own audits
- Thorough understanding of the project commercial position and efficiency targets and ensure that project costs are recorded and utilised efficiently
- Identifying areas where the client should be made aware of issues through the EWN system
- Ensure that materials have been procured and delivered and labour has been planned in accordance with construction programme
- Liaison with the project teams to feedback on milestones and issues that arise and/or ensure that the teams on site contact the project teams
- Manage subcontract packages of work and ensure sub-contractor construction programme are adhered to, identifying, and reporting areas of concern/delay.
- Management of private land access and highway possessions
- Manage work fronts in local communities and ensure a positive approach to dealing with members of the public
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
- Management experience within the Construction industry - particularly experience in managing clean water rehabilitation projects and all methods of rehab used
- Excellent understanding of Street work requirements
- Excellent understanding of Health & Safety
- Appropriate level of IT skills
- Effective communication skills with the ability to influence
- Ability to build relationships and deal with people from all backgrounds and situations
- Current full driving licence
- DOM's & Water Hygiene - required, training can be given
- New Roads and Street Works qualification - essential
- SHEA Water CSCS - preferred
- IOSH - preferred
Additional Information
- Based on the Western Isles
- The role holder will be required to work both in an office environment and out on site.
- You will be required to work outdoors in all weathers and be required to walk
