Estimator

Our Client is looking for an experienced estimator to join their interior outfitting team. The estimator will be responsible for meeting clients, surveying works, producing quotations, and winning projects. Whilst we ideally want someone experienced in marine interiors, other applicants with experience estimating other marine works or interior land-based works will be considered.

Objectives of this Role

• Be capable of handling large scale outfitting quotations down to small ride-on squad works
• Develop long-lasting relationships with existing and new clients
• Work on developing multiple quotations simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Meet clients in person or virtually to discuss their project needs
• Survey ships across the globe, gathering all the details required to provide a detailed quotation for the project
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to revise the quotation to the final bid stage
• Hand over successful quotations to our projects team for implementation

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Marine interior outfitting estimating experience
• Strong attention to deadlines
• Proven success working with all levels of management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs

Job Type

Full-time, Permanent

Location

Southampton office/Hybrid working. We are flexible in that the candidate will be expected in the office at least once a week but can work from the office every day if they so wish.

Travel

You will be required to travel internationally, sometimes at short notice for a few days or planned longer periods away from home.
