Job description

Contract Type: 2-Year Fixed Term Contract (with potential for permanent position)

Location: Southampton

Role Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced IT professional to join our clients' team on an initial 2-year fixed term contract, with the potential for the role to become permanent. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and maintain the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, specifically Tropos system. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in maintaining and supporting ERP systems and will play a crucial role in preparing for a planned system transition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily management and maintenance of the site's ERP system, including resolving daily issues and logs.
• Providing support to users of the ERP application.
• Understanding and supporting interlinked systems.
• Providing SQL support and maintaining system documentation.
• Collaborating with the team to prepare for the planned system transition.
• Sharing departmental support tickets and contributing to daily operations.

Candidate Requirements:
Essential:

• Proven experience in managing ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing business processes.
• Proficient in SQL with experience in SQL Integration Services (SSIS).
• Familiarity with Windows Server Operating System.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Process-oriented with a focus on documentation and system maintenance.

Desirable:

• Previous experience with Tropos and/or Infor LN systems.
• Experience in ERP/data migration projects.
• Spanish language skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Security Clearance: Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
