Our Client is a global technology company that designs and manufactures the highest quality, most accurate and reliable customised pressure sensing devices, instruments and software to provide innovative products, services and solutions to our customers.

As one of our Mechanical System Design Engineers, you will be responsible for designing test systems within our client's Test and Measurement Department to deliver product test systems and equipment. The Test and Measurement Department designs and provides the global pressure business with custom equipment, examples include pressure test installations, test looms, and electrical test interface assemblies.
As a Mechanical Systems Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing Test Systems for use within the manufacturing areas and complying with all the necessary standards and safety requirements.
  • Fully engaging with all aspects of projects from Concept design through to Construction & Testing.
  • Working with a diverse Mechanical design team to generate continual improvement processes.
  • Developing and maintaining good technical relationships with our external suppliers.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have strong test equipment knowledge within the Test and Measurement environment.
  • Be able to demonstrate innovation and creativity with new solutions that fit the business needs.
  • Demonstrate development of robust and lean processes.
  • Have strong 2D & 3D CAD package experience.
  • Be familiar with Pneumatic and Hydraulic pressure systems.
  • Have Degree level Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Design Qualifications or equivalent.
  • Be comfortable working in an environment with high expectations for quality, on-time delivery, and deadlines.
