Electrical Design Engineer - Contract (Outside IR35)

Our client, a leading Water company in the South East, is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of water-related systems. Your expertise in electrical engineering will contribute to the delivery of solutions that meet industry standards and address the unique challenges of the water sector.

Job Requirements

• Significant experience in electrical design engineering, preferably within the water industry
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components
• Proficiency in designing electrical circuits, control panels, and other related systems
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations
• Expertise in using electrical design software such as AutoCAD or EPLAN
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement electrical designs, ensuring they adhere to project specifications and regulatory requirements
• Scope writing
• Site visits
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs
• Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability and effectiveness of proposed electrical designs
• Create and review technical documentation, including electrical diagrams, schematics, and reports
• Perform risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies for electrical design-related issues
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to procure necessary electrical components
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems
• Maintain accurate records of design changes, project progress, and technical specifications
