Salary: £31,314, Rising after 12 weeks to £32,261. (Annual salary increases expected in April.)

Hours: (37 per week)
7:30am - 4:15pm (Monday to Thursday)
7.30am - 11.30am (Friday)

Job Summary
The successful candidate will join the business as a Manufacturing/Assembly Technician in the Valves area.
The role is responsible for the production and assembly of valves, components and assemblies within the Valves Assembly and Test department and will include a small amount of soldering.
The successful candidate will report to a Manufacturing Supervisor and to an overall Manufacturing Team Manager.

Key Responsibilities
Able to build assemblies using manufacturing tools and techniques (some of which are complex assemblies)
Performs successive visual inspection where necessary.
Assists with problem solving and root cause analysis activities.
The role will include a small amount of soldering.
Can produce parts from non-established manufacturing documentations but would normally work to the correct procedures and paperwork.
Assists with problem solving and root cause analysis activities.
Maintains a safe working environment and adopts a 5S approach to working.
Drives and sustains and attitude to continuous improvement as defined by standards.
Maintains a high standard of housekeeping at all times as defined by the standards.
Must adhere to all EHS, Quality and training requirements.
Competent and willing to learn and to train others.

Experience required
Experience in soldering is required - Soldering to IAW IPCJ-STD-001 would be ideal, however not essential. The client will be willing to train the successful candidate to J Standards.
Able to understand and follow manufacturing drawings, specifications and instructions.
Able to complete manufacturing documentations using handwritten forms and PC tools.
Previous manufacturing experience in aerospace would be an advantage
