Job description

Our client, a leading local authority, is currently seeking a Drainage Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. As a Drainage Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the Flood Risk and Drainage projects..

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and construct development, water management, and flood alleviation projects
• Contribute to the planning and implementation of drainage systems
• Perform risk assessments and develop appropriate strategies for flood prevention
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success
• Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices in drainage engineering

Job Requirements:

• Significant experience in the design and construction of development, water management, and flood alleviation projects
• Strong understanding of flood risk assessment and drainage system planning
• Proficient in relevant software and tools used in drainage engineering
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Duration: Until end September 2024, then on a 6 monthly rolling basis
