Job description
Location: Edinburgh
Duration: 6 month contract
Rate: £67ph UMB (Inside IR35)
Role profile:
As an Ada Software Engineer, you will:
- Develop software solutions, primarily using Ada for all stages of the software lifecycle, from concept to delivery.
- Work directly with the customer, to understand their operational requirements.
- Investigate and resolve real integration problems on a highly complex system.
- Create high quality and robust code for a flying platform.
- Deliver software and supporting technical documents.
- Communicate technical solutions to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate across multiple disciplines to achieve the team's goals.
- Share best practice across the software engineering community.
- Bring your own unique expertise, and mentor, coach and teach others to improve our capability.
- Be supported to develop your skills, reach your goals, and become better every day.
We are looking for people who have experience and knowledge in the following areas:
- Full software development lifecycle.
- Configuration management tools.
- Customer engagement and managing customer expectations.
- Collaborating within a multi-disciplined team.
- Aptitude for problem solving.
- Developing software in ADA.
Desirable skills:
- Experience in Aerospace, Defence or any other regulated sector such as medical or automotive.
- Software development in a real time embedded environment.
- Refactoring software implementation for large legacy systems.
- Understanding of C.
- Knowledge sharing techniques
