Job description

Introduction


Our client, a reputable company in the Highways sector, is seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join their team. As a CAD Technician, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed technical drawings using software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Proficiency in Civil 3D is essential for this role, with knowledge of Revit being highly desirable. This is a contract position with an immediate start and an initial duration of at least one month. Key Responsibilities

  • Create precise technical drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
  • Produce as-built designs for the consultant working on the project.
  • Collaborate with the CAD design team to ensure accuracy and consistency in drawings.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of CAD standards and processes.
  • Support the team in resolving any technical issues related to CAD drawings.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in drawings.
  • Adhere to project timelines and deliver drawings within specified deadlines.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry software and technology advancements.

Job Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in CAD, with a strong focus on Civil 3D.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and ideally some experience with Revit.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for CAD design.
  • An understanding of as-built designs and the ability to create accurate drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues.
