Job description

Introduction

My client is seeking a talented and experienced Structural Engineer to join their team. You will play a vital role in the design and technical aspects of projects, contributing to the success of the team. This is a contract position with the opportunity to work remotely for the majority of the time, with a requirement to be present in the office once a week if necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake structural design and calculations to Eurocodes, ensuring compliance and safety standards
• Develop design solutions and provide technical advice
• Collaborate with the junior team members, assisting in the checking of structural calculations
• Create and maintain accurate design documentation
• Contribute to design reviews and provide recommendations for improvements
• Ensure effective communication with stakeholders, including clients and contractors
• Remain up to date with industry standards and best practices
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures

Job Requirements

• Significant experience in structural engineering, particularly in bridge design
• Strong proficiency in structural calculations and design
• Excellent knowledge of Eurocodes and other relevant industry standards
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Good understanding of project requirements and ability to meet deadlines
• Chartered or nearing chartered status desired
