Job description
This is a contract position with the opportunity to work on precision machining of niche aerospace products with complex geometries made of aluminium alloys, stainless steels, titanium, and nickel-based alloys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and enhance quality control procedures to drive improvements in product quality.
- Analyse and report on production processes, schedules, downtime, cycle times, machine availability, and waste management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, laws, and regulations governing manufacturing processes.
- Review and estimate costs of tools, equipment, and production overheads for future production requirements.
- Analyse workflow, space utilisation, and equipment placement to optimise manufacturing efficiency.
- Oversee operations staff adherence to manufacturer's procedures and equipment instructions.
- Establish efficient work sequences and provide decision-making data for production/material costs or make vs buy decisions.
- Develop CNC programs using CADCAM software.
Key Requirements:
- Significant experience in manufacturing processes, with expertise in CNC machining.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and the ability to drive improvements in product quality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse production processes and make recommendations for improvements.
- Understanding of relevant policies, laws, and regulations governing manufacturing processes.
- Experience in space utilisation and workflow analysis to optimise manufacturing efficiency.
- Proficiency in developing CNC programs using CADCAM software. (Essential)
Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 07.00 - 16.00
Friday: 07.00 - 12.00 noon
