Job description

Position: Senior Digitalisation Engineer Type: Permanent Location: Warrington

Our client, a leading engineering and maintenance provider, is seeking a Senior Digitalisation Engineer to drive digital innovations and enhance operational efficiency across various industries. If you possess the required qualifications and experience, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the strategic development of individual sites and functions by implementing digital innovations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to devise and execute a comprehensive digitalisation strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage the delivery of digital projects across all business units, ensuring timely execution.
  • Develop digital value propositions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support the development and implementation of a business-wide digitalisation strategy.
  • Identify opportunities for digital innovation and recommend technologies to improve operational performance.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate the value of digital innovations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams internally and externally for successful project implementation.
  • Implement standardisation of solutions across the business.
  • Act as a local point of contact for digitalisation support and consulting.
  • Present and demonstrate digital solutions to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on new digital tools and technologies.
  • Organise and conduct digitally focused training sessions to promote a change mindset towards digital approaches.

Skills & Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in engineering, operations, and digital technologies.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the industrial sector.
  • Understanding and experience of lean management principles for process optimisation.
  • Proficiency in Mobile Applications (Low Code Platforms), MS SQL Database (On-Prem / Cloud-Based), and Dashboard Reporting Technology (e.g., PowerBI).
  • Technical support and troubleshooting experience for operational technology applications.
  • Degree or HND/HNC in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Certification in Project Management (Prince2, APM).
  • Experience in engineering, operational focused positions, industrial automation and control, and digital technologies.
  • Experience in developing and executing Digital Transformation Strategy.
  • Proficiency in Change Management processes and its importance in organisational change.
  • Passion for digital solutions and understanding of their benefits to business operations.
  • Willingness to travel for project requirements.
