Job description

We're recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor based in Milton Keynes. Our client, a leading company in the HTP industry, is seeking an experienced individual to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out tasks independently, including leading a small group of commercial staff.
• Prepare and agree variation accounts for main contracts and sub-contracts.
• Monitor cost against targets and contract progress.
• Provide input into change control procedures, such as EOT, delays, and performance adjustment.
• Prepare and agree interim valuations, final valuations, and final accounts.
• Prepare and issue certification and payment of sub-contractors.
• Provide contractual advice to management, ensuring compliance with contract and legal administration obligations.
• Negotiate and resolve disputes.
• Identify potential commercial risks and evaluate options for their control and management.

Job Requirements:

• Qualified with a Quantity Surveying degree or similar.
• Enrolled in, or seeking membership of, a relevant professional institution (CICES, RICS or similar).
• Significant experience at the Quantity Surveyor level, delivering positive commercial outcomes for projects.
• The ability to listen, learn, and mentor junior team members.
