Electrical Project Engineer - Water Sector


Our client, a reputable company in the Water sector, is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join their team. This is a contract role with an opportunity to contribute to their projects in Powys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems for water projects
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful project delivery within allocated budgets and timelines
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the project team and contractors
  • Review project specifications and electrical drawings to identify potential issues and recommend necessary modifications
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
  • Conduct inspections and tests to verify the quality and performance of electrical systems
  • Prepare project documentation, including reports, risk assessments, and method statements
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, suppliers, and subcontractors

Job Requirements:

  • Significant experience in electrical engineering, preferably within the water or related sector
  • Strong understanding of electrical system design, installation, and commissioning
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations for electrical systems in the water industry
  • Proficiency in using design software and other relevant tools
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel as required
