Our client, a leading company in Maritime Technology, is seeking a passionate Electronics Technician to join their dynamic team. As an Electronics Technician specializing in prototype assembly, you will play a vital role in the development of cutting-edge sensor systems for the maritime industry.

JOB SUMMARY


As an Electronic Test Technician, you will be responsible for assembly, testing, and fault-finding on electronic maritime technology. Your role will involve working with wiring diagrams, understanding schematics, and utilizing your knowledge of PCB layouts and software. Full computer literacy is required, and the ability to generate reports and costing sheets accurately is essential.

JOB DESCRIPTION


In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative maritime technology. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Prototype and production assembly: Utilize your expertise in electronics assembly to build and test prototypes of advanced sensor systems.
  • Component Integration: Work closely with the engineering team to integrate electronic components into sensor systems, ensuring precision and functionality.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and quality checks to ensure prototypes meet stringent performance standards and specifications.
  • Troubleshooting: Demonstrate problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues during the assembly and testing phases.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of assembly processes, configurations, and test results for future reference and improvement.

Requirements:

  • Education: A degree/HND/BTEC or certification in Electronics or a related field is preferred. Relevant industry experience will also be considered.
  • Experience: Proven experience in electronics assembly, particularly with prototype development.
  • Skills: Proficient in soldering, circuit assembly, and testing procedures.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure the highest quality in prototype and production assembly.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Innovation: Enthusiasm for working on cutting-edge technologies and contributing to the advancement of maritime sensor systems.
