Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the commercial aspects of water projects, ensuring accurate measurement and evaluation of costs
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure cost-effective solutions and value for money
• Monitor and manage project budgets, providing regular updates and forecasts
• Prepare and review tender documentation, including bills of quantities and cost estimates
• Evaluate and negotiate contractual terms and variations
• Assess and manage risks, making recommendations to minimize potential impacts
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to financial aspects of projects
• Provide guidance and support to junior members of the team

Job Requirements

• Significant experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, specifically within the water industry
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of construction contracts
• Excellent knowledge of cost analysis, budget management, and financial control
• Proficiency in using relevant software and tools, such as MS Excel and cost estimating software
• Effective communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
