Job description


The Project Manager will be responsible for managing and facilitating the delivery of 5 complex infrastructure/Structures highway maintenance projects as part of a 4-year strategic asset management plan. The ideal candidate should have a recognised project management qualification. The role may evolve over time beyond the initial projects.


If you have experience in structural engineering, highway maintenance, and bridge construction, and possess the necessary project management skills, this could be a great opportunity for you to contribute to the development of key infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and facilitate the delivery of 5 complex infrastructure/Structures highway maintenance projects
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with quality standards
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
  • Monitor project progress and identify any risks or issues
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management
  • Implement project management best practices
  • Support the team in delivering successful outcomes
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in structural engineering, highway maintenance, and bridge construction
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, with PRINCE2 certification preferred
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements
