Our client, a leading aerospace company, is currently seeking an Airworthiness Engineer to join their team. You will be responsible for providing certification expertise and ensuring compliance with airworthiness requirements.

Job description

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide certification expertise and supporting documentation delivery to ensure compliance with certification and airworthiness requirements.
  • Define, progress, and facilitate tests and analysis to verify compliance.
  • Attend design and project meetings to provide airworthiness and certification inputs.
  • Facilitate design approval and compliance verification of completed changes.
  • Undertake independent Compliance Verification when approved.
  • Review failures, malfunctions, and defects affecting airworthiness and determine necessary actions.
  • Maintain technical competency and contribute to the development of team members.

Knowledge and Skills

Essential

  • Industry-related experience in aircraft/rotorcraft.
  • Proven experience with design integration.
  • A track record of technical knowledge.
  • Suitably qualified and experienced in delivering airworthiness and certification deliverables.
  • Working knowledge of certification specifications and compliance codes.
  • Sound understanding of aircraft system and software safety analysis processes.
  • Good working knowledge of aircraft airframe, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Computer literate in MS Office and Google desktop applications.

Desirable

  • Experience of design and system integration for rotorcraft.
  • Aeronautical or equivalent degree, or equivalent experience with another professional qualification.
  • Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent training.
