Data Cabling Engineer
Full time/Permanent
Location: Field based
Our client, part of the 5G Communications Group, is a well-established company within the telecommunications industry. With over 20 years of experience, they have successfully provided exceptional customer service, supplying telecommunications and data cabling to over 6,000 business customers at 15,000 sites across the UK.
They are currently seeking a skilled Data Cabling Engineer to join their growing team based in Gosport/Portsmouth.

The Role

The successful candidate will need to have comprehensive experience in structured cabling infrastructure projects of all sizes. The role will require travel throughout the UK and will include the following responsibilities:

• Installation of 5e/6/6a cabling infrastructure in commercial/construction environments.
• Experience in Fibre Optic infrastructure would be advantageous.
• Competence in the installation of containment systems.
• Ability to follow project specification documents and drawings.
• Understanding of Health and Safety policies.
• Scheduling of material procurement.
• Ensuring project milestones are met.

The Candidate

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Experience in the installation, termination, and testing of MM and SM Fibre Optic cabling systems.
• Experience with AV Systems.
• High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

Education & Qualifications:

• A-C grade GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths/Science and English.
• Full UK driving licence.
• CSCS or ECS Card.
• Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
