Civil Engineer / Senior Civil Engineer - Nottingham - Up to £45k

Our client, a leading infrastructure design consultancy, specialising in highways and drainge work, is currently seeking a Civil Engineer/Senior Civil Engineer for their Nottingham office. This is a permanent position to join a well established design team, with a salary of up to £45k, depending on experience.

About the Role

As a Civil Engineer/Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for detailed highway design, including S278 and S38, as well as earthworks and drainage, including S104 and S106. Experience using Civil 3D and Microdrainage is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• detailed design of off-site highway works of all types, including grade separated junctions
• Undertake detailed highway design, including S278 and S38
• Manage earthworks and drainage design, including S104 and S185
• Utilize Civil 3D and Microdrainage for design and analysis
• liaison with utility providers about plant diversions and costs
• ground modelling and 3D design
• foul and surface water drainage strategies and detailed design to roads and sewers adoption standards
• Collaborate with project teams and provide technical expertise
• Prepare drawings, calculations, and reports
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates
• Contribute to the development and training of junior staff

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering
• Significant experience in detailed highway design, including S278 and S38
• Strong knowledge of earthworks and drainage design, including S104 and S185
• Proficiency in using Civil 3D and Microdrainage software
• Understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Chartered or working towards chartership (preferred)
