Assembly Technician
Our client, a leading company in the Automotive sector, is seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join their team. You will be responsible for building the world's first purpose-built battery and solar-powered Clean Tech. In this role, you will work closely with the operations and engineering teams to assemble units according to precise specifications and detailed instructions. Your attention to detail, commitment to quality, and adherence to safety protocols are vital in maintaining the highest standards of production. This is a permanent position based in Surrey.
Key Responsibilities
- Building production of Clean Tech
- Supporting with kitting parts for development and production builds
- Maintaining component traceability and ensuring the highest quality standards with minimal scrap
- Troubleshooting and resolving any assembly issues or discrepancies to maintain production schedules
- Closely following assembly instructions and maintaining accurate documentation
- Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines
- Participating in continuous improvement activities to enhance assembly processes
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in the Automotive sector, Prototype Build, Motorsport, Aerospace, or Commercial Vehicles
- Excellent demonstrable 'hands-on' skills in both R&D and production environments
- Willingness to learn and work in part of multiple aspects of our clients clean tech assembly process
- Good awareness of Health and Safety regulations
- The ability to interpret engineering information in multiple formats with a focus on assembly instructions, 2D drawings and 3D CAD assemblies.
Nice to Have
- Electrical harnessing experience - fitting/reworking harnesses, LV and HV components
- Experience working in an assembly environment with elements of Automatic Assembly
- Forklift licence
