Job description
Location: South West London
Security - Candidate will need to meet the criteria of obtaining an SC Clearance or already hold it.
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 Depenedent on exesperiance
Type: Perm
Hybrid Working: 3 days a week on-site.
About the Role
Work with stakeholders to determine business requirements for network security solutions or changes to existing services.
Technical lead for implementation and management of network security solutions.
Ensure information assets are protected from attack through management of firewalls and other security technologies.
Day to Day configuration and management of firewalls, VPNs, and perimeter infrastructure.
Monitor the network ensuring faults and security events are diagnosed and resolved with minimum disruption to the business.
Create and maintain projects and operational documentation relating to the firewall/network security infrastructure.
Develop knowledge, skills and experience associated with the area of specialism and stay up to date with network, communications, and security changes in the marketplace.
Build relationships and manage external parties providing network security support.
Provide knowledge transfer to Service Delivery teams.
Key Experience:
Extensive experience in supporting large campus layer-2 and layer-3 networks.
Significant experience with implementation, configuration, and management of Next-Gen Firewalls (Preferably Fortinet)
Significant experience setting up and managing site to site VPNs and SSL VPNs
Knowledge of the network security threat landscape and threat prevention techniques
Knowledge of basic network security concepts such as NAC, 802.1x
Knowledge of Network Segmentation systems (Preferably Forescout)
Knowledge of protocols used in resilient systems e.g., VRRP, LACP, Virtual-Chassis
Knowledge of networking protocols and concepts e.g., TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS etc
Undertaken data centre network hardware installation and maintenance.
Relevant network and security certifications would be an advantage.
