Salary: $160-$180k (salary bandings are based off of years of experience and industry background)
Job Description
We are looking for an Electrification Manager to work on the OnCorr project.
Under the responsibility of the project director, you will join the Technical Management Office (TMO) of Metrolinx as Electrification Manager. You will be based from the clients site to enable interaction with the rest of the team.
As Electrification Manager you will manage the Electrification team of the TMO (5 to 10 people depending on the stage of the project). This team is composed of Power Supply and OCS engineers and experts.
Responsibilities:
- Attend design meetings with the contractor (OnXpress), identify issues for the development of the project and propose strategies / measures to address them.
- Distribute the review work to your team and follow up the progress of the work
- Identify the needs (human resources) to meet the quality and timeline
- Identify additional analysis needed to solve technical issues. Specify the scope of such additional work and lead the local or back-office team in charge of this work.
- Be proactive to contribute to solve any issues related to the electrification project
Role Requirements:
- An appropriate university engineering degree, or equivalent qualification such as a degree in mechanical engineering
- At least 10 years of railway experience
- Main line / heavy rail experience an advantage, although metro and LRT experience can be considered.
- Leadership and management skills
- Fluency in English both oral written along with excellent communication skills
