Job description
Role Summary - FULL Training will be provided.
As part of the composite value stream, you will be responsible for ensuring the curing of product in line with local manufacturing instruction to produce high quality composite components for a variety of aircraft. This role involves preparing and loading composite components through a mixture of autoclave and ovens, in line with the daily production plan. Maintaining equipment, supporting the in/outflow through the process. As part of the Oven & Autoclaves team you will play a key role in supporting the successful execution of the Composite's delivery plan.
Will include but is not limited to:
- Loading and unloading of Ovens and Autoclaves using a variety of lifting systems
- Delivering tooling to manufacturing stations using a variety of forklift systems
- Monitoring and verifying cure cycles to customer specifications
- Operation and fault finding of the automated building management systems
- Performing preventative maintenance of equipment and escalating issues to the maintenance team, to support the overall equipment effectiveness.
- Supporting pre and post cure stages in the composite value stream; laminating, debagging and tool cleaning
- Please note that this role will involve physical activity. Therefore, you must be capable of undertaking activities with appropriate assistance if required. Requirements
- Time-Served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in recognised allied trade.
- Good level of dexterity
- Competent in numeracy and literacy skills, computer use and able to read and understand technical documentation
- Good knowledge of health and safety
