Job description
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in rail infrastructure and NEC contract management. The role involves overseeing project delivery, managing budgets, ensuring compliance, and maintaining stakeholder relationships for successful rail project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead rail project delivery from planning to completion.
- Manage NEC contracts, including compensation events and risk registers.
- Control project budgets and forecast costs.
- Engage with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and industry regulations.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and manage project risks.
Requirements:
- Proven project management experience in rail, with expertise in NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4).
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or related fields.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with cost control and budgeting in NEC projects.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of UK rail standards (e.g., Network Rail GRIP/PACE).
- Project management certifications (PRINCE2, PMP).
