Job description
Our client, a key player in the defence sector, is currently seeking a MIDAS Systems and Software Test Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Warton. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring attendance in the office 2-3 times per week, and is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in software and systems engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrating within a delivery programme for systems and software
- Applying knowledge of the engineering lifecycle and associated governance
- Utilising Model Based Engineering tools (Cameo)
- Implementing Agile methodology supported by the Atlassian toolset
- Engaging in requirements management using DOORS
- Performing system definition using SysML/CAMEO
- Carrying out data modelling for systems/software (SysML/UML)
- Conducting software testing across various software test levels
- Employing software tools to create automated software testing with coverage metrics on structure and requirements
- Ensuring adherence to DO-178C objectives pertaining to software testing
Job Requirements:
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a STEM discipline
- Awareness of systems and software engineering
- Experience in integration within a delivery programme for systems and software
- Knowledge or awareness of Model Based Engineering tools (Cameo)
- Experience or awareness of Agile methodology and the Atlassian toolset
- Previous experience within the mission management and autonomy fields is advantageous
- Proficiency in requirements management (DOORS)
- Competence in system definition (SysML/CAMEO)
